Research and Evaluation Projects

Community-engaged research addressing health disparities through data-driven interventions.

As a Clinical Researcher with over 20+ years of experience, Dr. Kelly-Brown is committed to utilizing community engaged, evidence-based research and evaluation projects to show efficacy of the innovative health and fitness programs Divine Fitness creates to help improve the health of community members.

To date, Divine Fitness, Inc. has completed multiple community engaged research projects, and we are currently planning to conduct a Randomized Clinical Trial (RCT) to evaluate the 2026 Exercise is Medicine in Underserved Communities signature campaign.

Our past projects include:

  • The Stay Active Program where we developed a tailored community-based exercise “Stay Active” program to increase physical activity among low-income individuals living with multiple chronic conditions
  • Communities:
    • Park Heights (21215)
    • Cylburn (21215)
    • Coldspring Newtown Community (21209)
  • The Child Health Equity Project
