Fitness Fun Summer Program

The Fitness Fun Summer Camp—a signature DFHS initiative—has evolved into an integrated Health, Fitness, and Arts Enrichment Program that engages youth ages 5–14 in a holistic six to eight-week experience emphasizing physical fitness, nutrition education, social-emotional learning (SEL), and creative expression through the arts. In partnership with Goodnow Community Center, the 2025 summer program expanded its reach, offering structured, age-appropriate activities that promote lifelong wellness habits while making exercise fun and accessible for all children.

  • Campers are grouped by age (5, 6–7, 8–9, and 10–14) and rotate through fitness, education, and enrichment stations designed to develop physical, mental, and emotional health.
  • Weekly themes, family engagement events, and culminating performances allow campers to showcase their growth and celebrate their achievements.
  • Now entering its 15th year, the Fitness Fun Summer Camp remains committed to tracking measurable outcomes in physical fitness, body composition, and health knowledge—helping demonstrate the impact of community-based wellness models that can be scaled and replicated across Baltimore and beyond.
  • Through partnerships with schools, recreation centers, and community organizations, Divine Fitness and Health Services continues to build healthier communities, one family at a time—empowering youth to move, learn, lead, and thrive.
  • Our program can be conducted as a stand alone program, or it can be interspersed into your existing community summer camp program.
